The Republican National Committee (RNC) is gearing up for an epic showdown in New York’s 3rd Congressional District. After disgraced former Rep. George Santos was given the boot, the RNC is pulling out all the stops to keep his seat red.
The RNC ain’t messin’ around, folks. They’re splashing some serious cash – we’re talkin’ six figures! – into this race. They’ve even called in the cavalry, rounding up 10 staffers to camp out in the district and make sure the GOP comes out on top.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Ten staffers might sound like overkill, but the RNC is in it for the long haul. They’ve already got four boot-on-the-ground warriors in New York, and they’re on the hunt for six more brave souls to join the fight. And get this, these staffers aren’t just swooping in for the special election – they’re in it for the long haul, sticking around through the 2024 general election. That’s dedication, folks!
But wait, there’s more! The RNC isn’t stopping there. They’re riling up their army of volunteers to rally behind Mazi Melesa Pilip, the Republican candidate vying for Santos’s former seat. These volunteers will be making calls and hitting the pavement to make sure Pilip comes out on top. RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel didn’t hold back either, declaring, “With new, full-time staff hires and resources dedicated to Nassau County and Queens, the RNC will spare no effort to protect our Republican House majority.”
But that’s not all. Pilip isn’t fighting this battle alone. The Winning For Women PAC is throwing their weight behind her, too, pledging a six-figure investment in digital ads, texting, and direct mail to secure her victory. You betcha they’ll be maxing out their own contributions and rallying their supporters from all corners of the country to stand behind Pilip.
And don’t even get Pilip started on it – she’s beyond stoked about the endorsement, gushing, “Winning For Women PAC has a strong track record of backing conservative women leaders, and I am thrilled to have their support in my bid for Congress.” The RNC is even ramping up their efforts to push early and mail-in voting for Republicans in the district. They’re not leaving any stone unturned, that’s for darn sure!
With Santos out of the picture, the Cook Political Report has labeled this race a “Republican Toss Up.” But with the RNC and Winning For Women PAC in Pilip’s corner, it looks like the GOP is ready to throw down and fight tooth and nail to keep this district in their grip. So buckle up, folks – it’s gonna be a wild ride to Election Day!
