The Daily Mail reported that the city of San Antonio has been keeping a huge secret from its own elected officials and the American people. Turns out, they’ve been operating a “top secret migrant camp” in an empty hangar at the city’s airport for over eight months. Can you believe it? This secret camp has been housing hundreds of migrants every day, all on the taxpayer’s dime. And get this, the elected officials didn’t even know it existed until a few weeks ago. What a slap in the face!
When one of the city council members found out about this secret camp, he said he “lost his mind.” And who can blame him? What in the world is going on next to the airport? The city council member adamantly opposes any expansion of migrant holding facilities, and he’s absolutely right.
But wait, it gets even worse. The Texas bureau chief for the Daily Mail published photos of the “top secret” site, revealing uniformed guards and a shuttle bus near the hangar. Can you imagine? They even had the nerve to try to stop the reporter from taking pictures and wouldn’t talk to a woman. This is the kind of authoritarian behavior we see in communist countries, not in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

To add insult to injury, San Antonio officials confirmed that nearly 400 migrants stay in this hangar each night, and there’s no telling what kind of conditions these people are subjected to. The city said that some migrants spend more than 24 hours at the facility, and they’re transported from the hangar to the airport before their departure. But here’s the kicker – public officials have not been allowed inside, so no one can testify to the conditions. It’s like a secret prison camp, except it’s happening right here in America.
And here’s the real kicker – the federal government reimburses the costs associated with this “top secret” airport shelter. That means not only are San Antonio taxpayers funding this facility, but so are we, the American people. It’s all part of Biden’s grand plan to have secret migrant camps hiding in plain sight while pretending to care about border security.
It’s time for Republicans to step up and put an end to this madness. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas needs to be held accountable for his role in this border crisis, and the border must be closed once and for all. We can’t let the Biden administration get away with this any longer.
