During a concert in New Jersey, Carlos Santana caused controversy after he made a couple of seemingly innocuous remarks. The left immediately called his statements anti-transgender, but we'll take a closer look at his actual remarks.
According to Santana, God made him and his wife before they were born, and he explained that a woman is a person who was born a woman, while a man is a person who was born a man. It's a common biological concept.
The left immediately seized upon his comments, using them to fit their own agenda. Santana stated that people have the freedom to make their own decisions regarding their bodies, and he did not imply that he would dictate what individuals should do.
Due to the backlash, Santana decided to issue an apology on his social media page. He stated that he was sorry for his comments, and he was forced to backtrack due to the vocal minority. It's unfortunate that he felt compelled to do so, as his comments were perfectly reasonable.
He was trying to promote respect and tolerance for people's different beliefs. He also stated that he wanted to honor and respect everyone regardless of their sexual orientation. The left, however, doesn't agree with his statements.
It's very disappointing that Santana decided to cave to the pressure and backtrack after making these comments. We are proud of him for speaking the truth, and we hope that he continues to do so, even if it ruffles some feathers along the way. It's time for us to stop being politically correct and embrace honesty.
