Senate Democrats Dodge Biden Blunder Fallout as Elections Loom

Vulnerable Senate Democrats are now scrambling to distance themselves from President Joe Biden following what can only be described as his disastrous debate performance. This could spell trouble for down-ballot candidates as we inch closer to the November elections. Senators Sherrod Brown, Tammy Baldwin, and Jon Tester have all gone mum, leaving no comment on Biden’s shaky display.

Some senators tried the old magician’s trick of misdirection. Biden dropped the ball, but they’d have you focus on everything from abortion to voting rights. Pennsylvania’s Bob Casey remained Biden’s loyal lapdog, attempting to paint a dire picture of what’s at stake. Talk about sticking with a sinking ship.

Then there’s the bold newcomer, David McCormick. McCormick isn’t buying any of Casey’s deflection. He laid it out plain and simple: America deserves a President who doesn’t need flashcards to remember his train of thought. Meanwhile, Casey continues to shield Biden with the same old dog-eared script, pretending that Pennsylvanians are none the wiser.

Sen. Jacky Rosen of Nevada also ducked down Biden alley when asked about the debate performance. Instead of addressing Biden’s blunders, her team insists it’s a choice between Biden and Trump. Classic move. She lauds Biden for lowering costs and focusing on the middle class. If only her words matched the economic realities across Nevada. Even Sherrod Brown can’t hide. Dodging debate questions like a dodgeball champion, Brown is quick to pivot to his campaign slogans, conveniently neglecting the question at hand.

Senate Democrats are shaking in their boots. Biden’s faceplant at the debate sparked panic among lawmakers, liberal pundits, and party insiders. It’s no surprise that some Democrats secretly fantasize about a different candidate swooping in as a miracle worker. Yet, publicly, they’re stuck doing the two-step dance, dodging and weaving around Biden’s blunders.

Let’s not forget Biden’s campaign team. They’re trying to spin straw into gold with a new ad focusing on Trump, conveniently glossing over Biden’s missteps. Apparently, he had a cold. Next, they’ll blame the debate moderators for not holding his hand. How comforting.

Meanwhile, Republicans smell blood in the water. GOP challengers like Bernie Moreno and Tim Sheehy are wasting no time. Moreno hammered Brown for his refusal to admit Biden’s inadequacies, and Sheehy wants everyone to remember that Tester vouched for Biden’s mental fitness. Spoiler alert: no one’s buying it.

In summary, Biden’s gaffe-filled debate not only put his re-election at risk but also threw Senate Democrats into a political blender. Voters will remember who stood by Biden, shaky performance and all, come Election Day.
