Senate Democrats have decided to throw a temper tantrum over the recent housecleaning at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice. It seems that when the tables turn, and their precious agency is finally getting a much-needed scrub, they’re ready to scream “national security!” like a five-year-old being denied dessert. Newsflash: the FBI had turned into a playground for political games under Joe Biden, who practically transformed it into his personal enforcer squad.
The Democrats are still smarting from the fallout of recent whistleblower revelations concerning Hunter Biden, which finally forced the DOJ to pay a little attention to Hunter’s attorneys, albeit a few months too late. The fact that Joe Biden opted to pardon his son—and while he was at it, the rest of the Biden crime family—just highlights how intertwined the political elite are with the so-called justice they claim to uphold. The Democrats are acting like the FBI is about to be overthrown by an army of rogue agent robots instead of acknowledging the repercussion of their own administration’s failings.
The Dem Reaction to Trump's FBI/DOJ Purges Only Shows It Was the Right Decision https://t.co/f5sY4jLWhT
No one cares. Elections have consequences, Dick. We won, you lost, and we get to dictate the terms of the victory here.

Dick Durbin led the charge among his fellow Senate Democrats, firing off letters of complaint to every major figure in the Trump Administration’s DOJ and FBI lineup. Their fears about a supposed mass exodus of career investigators and agents are amusing considering how those entities have been politically weaponized against conservatives for years. The narrative from the left has always aimed to paint those booted from their cushy jobs as martyrs for the truth. But rather than recognizing that this is merely a correction to restore some sense of integrity, they peddle the idea that numerous career civil servants are being purged, as if they’re clutching pearls in a Victorian novel.
Instead of holding their breath and fainting over the alleged threat these removals pose, Democrats should look in the mirror. The January 6 Committee was a partisan circus, full of political theater, and their control over the messaging led to the current cleaning house. Now, with the recent changes implemented, they’re clutching their pearls over executive decisions. Get over it: the rights of the President to shape his administration’s personnel are not up for debate. The FBI and DOJ’s track records during the last administration are enough to warrant a complete overhaul.
Further adding to the commotion, thousands of FBI personnel were asked to fill out a questionnaire. Suddenly, they are terrified of accountability? If they spent less time playing politics and more time upholding the law, they wouldn’t have to worry about their roles in politically charged cases like January 6. The idea that these agents and officials know best how to handle national security threats is laughable when the facts show they’ve been prioritizing their political agendas over genuine threats.
While the Democrats act appalled by these changes, there’s a simple reality they refuse to acknowledge: losing control means confronting accountability. They can whine about the “deep state” losing its grip, but voters made their choice loud and clear. A cleaning at the FBI and DOJ is not just welcome; it’s necessary. So here’s a suggestion for the Democrats: how about focusing on doing your job and earning the trust of the public instead of howling over the loss of your political machinery? If President Trump wants to continue purging, more power to him. It’s about time the FBI got its house in order.
