Senate Democrats Stymie Critical Bill for Israel in Favor of Ukraine Aid
In a shocking turn of events, Senate Democrats have once again put their own political games ahead of the needs of our closest ally in the Middle East, Israel. The Republicans attempted to swiftly pass an emergency spending bill to provide crucial aid to Israel, but the Democrats, in their classic fashion, stalled and obstructed the process.

Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas, a true patriot, tried to push the chamber to advance the much-needed funding for Israel, but Senator Raphael Warnock of Georgia, a pawn in the Democrats’ obstructionist tactics, called for a quorum call to halt the vote. It’s just another instance of the Democrats prioritizing their own political agenda over the security of our allies.
The GOP’s efforts to bypass the unnecessary delays were met with resistance from none other than Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Patty Murray, a Washington Democrat. It’s clear that the Democrats are more interested in playing politics than in doing what’s right for our allies abroad.
Even Senator Ted Cruz of Texas spoke out against the Democrats’ shameful tactics, rightfully accusing Chuck Schumer and the Democratic leadership of frantically trying to prevent a vote. And in the end, the Democrat-controlled Senate voted to table the motion to take up the measure, showing their true colors once again.
In a display of disregard for the safety and security of Israel, Democrats have been using the aid for Israel as a bargaining chip to leverage support for war aid for Ukraine. This is absolutely despicable. The bill to aid Israel has already passed the Republican-controlled House, but the Democrats, including President Biden himself, have been standing in the way.
Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer brushed off the critical bill for Israel, calling it “unserious and woefully inadequate” because it didn’t align with the Democrats’ own agenda. It’s clear that the Democrats are more concerned with playing politics and pushing their own priorities than with doing what’s best for our allies and national security.
It’s time for the Democrats to put aside their partisan games and prioritize the well-being and security of our allies, like Israel. Our nation’s foreign policy should not be held hostage to the Democrats’ political maneuvering. It’s time for the Democrats to step up and do what’s right for our allies, instead of playing politics at the expense of crucial aid for Israel.
