In response to Adam Schiff's statements about Russia collusion, the House of Representatives voted to censure him. The California congressman was rebuked for undermining democracy and truth. Despite this, he remained defiant, as he stood up to defend his position.
Before the vote, Adam Schiff claimed that he was a “truth teller” who stood up to those who spread lies about the election. He also stated that the resolution opposing him was a “false resolution” that was made to honor him. The question is, how did he contribute to preserving democracy?
He was only able to find evidence of Trump's wrongdoing through a wild goose chase. The former president spectacularly imploded and the allegations he made were eventually debunked by special counsel Robert Mueller.
In response to the censure, Adam Schiff tried to play the homeless issue by claiming that the resolution would have a significant impact on the country and Congress since millions of people would be unable to afford to live in California. He failed to acknowledge that the state is suffering from policies that are being implemented by radical Democrats, such as California Governor Gavin Newsom.
To my Republican colleagues who introduced this sham resolution: You honor me with your enmity.
You flatter me with this falsehood.
Your words tell me that I have been effective in the defense of our democracy, and I am grateful. pic.twitter.com/ATVFDLaUYT

The irony is that despite being censured, Adam Schiff is already using the vote to raise money for his re-election campaign. He is regarded as one of the most unpopular members of Congress and to see him perform like a benevolent savior despite not being able to prove his numerous claims about Trump is appalling. The Republican Party deserves credit for censuring Schiff.
