Devon Archer, the star witness in the investigation of Hunter Biden’s business deals, arrived on Capitol Hill today with quite the pep in his step. Smiling and laughing, he confidently walked into the building for his interview with congressional investigators. When asked about Hunter Biden’s business dealings, Mr. Archer, still wearing his friendly grin, simply responded with a “no comment.”

This wasn’t the first time Mr. Archer showed off his charming attitude. Another video captured him wearing the same smile and refusing to answer questions from the press. It’s clear that he’s in a good mood, despite being at the center of a controversial investigation.
Archer was not just a casual acquaintance of Hunter Biden; he was a close business associate and friend. He claims to have witnessed numerous meetings between then-Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and various business associates. What’s more, Archer sat on the same board as Hunter for Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy firm. This is the same company that allegedly bribed the Biden family with $10 million in exchange for Joe Biden using his political influence to stop investigations into the company.
There’s even speculation that Archer may have been responsible for securing Hunter Biden’s position on Burisma’s board. Now, under the leadership of James Comer, the House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Archer for his deposition. Interestingly enough, Biden’s Department of Justice responded by asking a judge to send Archer to jail immediately for his fraud conviction. This move has the hallmarks of intimidation, with the government essentially saying, “Sure, you can testify, but we want you behind bars while you’re at it.”
Constitutional lawyer Robert Barnes has pointed out that this is likely retaliation by the DOJ against Archer. It’s a clear attempt to intimidate the witness and discourage him from testifying. Even though Archer’s schedule for Monday is unaffected by this request, it still raises eyebrows and leaves a lingering sense of intimidation.
It’s important to note that Mr. Archer was convicted in 2018 for defrauding investors in a bond-selling scheme, in which he stole tens of millions of dollars from a Native American tribal entity and other investors. He recently lost his appeal and is awaiting sentencing. The government is using this conviction as a tool to pressure Archer into silence.
The actions of Biden’s DOJ in this case only serve to further fuel suspicions and doubts about the alleged corruption within the Biden family. It’s clear that the Biden administration is desperately trying to protect their own, even if it means resorting to intimidation tactics against witnesses. This case is far from over, and the truth behind Hunter Biden’s business deals is slowly but surely coming to light.
