It’s time to dive into the liberal world of dark money and censorship as the nefarious deeds of Democratic megadonor George Soros come to light. The Washington Examiner has blown the lid off the secretive web of left-wing billionaires, and it’s a doozy! Brace yourself as we venture forth into the murky waters of disinformation, liberal conspiracies, and the battle for free speech.

It turns out that Soros’ philanthropy organizations have been funneling mountains of cash into a foreign group called Global Witness, which has been pressuring social media companies to crack down on “disinformation” and “misinformation.” Global Witness has been looking into the likes of Google, Facebook, and TikTok, calling for legislation against “hate speech” and demanding the removal of what they deem as “outright false” and “misleading” content. And guess who’s funding this merry band of censorship crusaders? You guessed it, Soros’s very own Open Society Foundations. They’ve handed over a whopping $2.65 million to Global Witness, who in turn are on a mission to control, silence, and manipulate the little guys with far smaller bank accounts.
But that’s not all, folks! Congressional Republicans are up in arms over what they’ve labeled the “Censorship Industrial Complex.” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan is leading the charge, vowing to put a stop to the United States government from bankrolling these apparent censors. The Washington Examiner’s “Disinformation Inc.” series and the “Twitter Files,” provided by none other than Elon Musk, have shone a light on the operations of these left-wing organizations and the shady connections to big tech companies.
The Media Research Center’s Free Speech Alliance group has been on high alert, calling on Congress to slam the brakes on funding for organizations like NewsGuard and the Global Disinformation Index, which have been accused of censoring speech they don’t fancy. The sly dogs at GDI have been caught blacklisting conservative media outlets and receiving funds from the State Department. The outrage is palpable as corporations are cutting ties with GDI left and right. Oops, did someone say karma’s a Republican?
Now, Global Witness isn’t just targeting big tech companies for kicks and giggles. They’ve joined forces with a whopping 149 groups in a “Global Coalition for Tech Justice” to demand that social media giants invest in safeguarding the 2024 elections. They’re coming for your online content, folks, flagging xenophobic hate speech in South Africa and online hate speech directed at LGBTQI+ communities in Europe. And let’s not forget their call-out of Facebook for allowing disinformation to run amok before Brazil’s 2022 elections. It’s a down and dirty game of pointing fingers and playing judge and jury in the online world.
As if that wasn’t enough, Global Witness has been cozying up with New York University’s Cybersecurity for Democracy initiative, taking aim at TikTok for allegedly approving a whopping 90 percent of ads featuring misleading and false election disinformation during the 2022 midterm elections. These folks mean business, and they’re not afraid to toss around accusations and demands left, right, and center.
But fear not, good citizens! The mighty heroes of the Republican Party are on the case. Rep. Andrew Clyde has sounded the alarm, decrying the “egregious forms of election interference” and calling for an investigation into the flow of funds influencing these dangerous censorship efforts. It’s a battle cry for election integrity and the preservation of Americans’ constitutional right to free speech. The fight against the liberal censorship machine is on, and the conservatives won’t back down without a fight!
So there you have it, folks. The tale of dark money, liberal agendas, and the relentless pursuit of digital dominance. Hold on to your hats, because this tussle ain’t over yet!
