In a not-so-shocking revelation, a Super Tuesday exit poll has unearthed the stark contrast between Democrats and Republicans in their primary concerns leading up to the election. According to Decision Desk HQ’s survey of absentee, early, and day-of voters, the divide is crystal clear.
Democratic voters, in their usual fashion, have made abortion their top priority, with a whopping 27% ranking it as their key issue. In a close second place, the economy garnered 25% of the votes, while education trailed in at third with 11%. Surprisingly, despite media speculation about progressive reactions to President Biden’s handling of international conflicts, foreign policy only managed to secure a measly 9% as the top concern among Democratic voters.

On the other side of the aisle, Republican voters are sounding the alarm over immigration, with a substantial 44% pointing to it as their top issue. Following closely behind is the economy, capturing 28% of the GOP’s attention. Notably, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is gaining traction among self-identified Independent and Democratic voters, outshining former President Trump in this mixed bag of opinions.
