Eric Swalwell, the master of embarrassment, has once again found a new way to humiliate himself. This guy just can’t seem to catch a break. Not only has he been involved in a shady relationship with a Chinese spy, but he has also been kicked off the House Intelligence Committee, along with his partner-in-crime Adam Schiff. But Swalwell never disappoints in finding new ways to embarrass himself.

Last week, Swalwell played the role of Hunter Biden’s wingman, adding another level of embarrassment to his already tarnished reputation. He admitted to reserving space for Hunter’s press conference, which conveniently happened at the same time as Biden should have been appearing before a closed-door hearing of the House Oversight Committee. Talk about avoiding the heat.
While Biden played it safe on the Senate side of the Capitol, blaming Republicans for his past misdeeds, Swalwell was right there by his side, aiding and abetting him in defying a House subpoena. It’s quite ironic considering that Swalwell himself condemned this exact behavior just two years ago.
In 2021, Swalwell took to social media to criticize Steve Bannon for ignoring a lawful subpoena, boldly stating that “If you or I ignored a lawful subpoena, we’d go to jail. So should Steve Bannon.” Well, Swalwell, by your own standards, Hunter Biden should be behind bars, and so should you.
According to George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, Swalwell’s actions with Hunter Biden go even beyond his controversial relationship with the Chinese spy. In a scathing commentary, Turley argues that Swalwell’s actions were a criminal act directed against the House itself. While there might not be a criminal charge involved, some congressional action is definitely warranted.
Miranda Devine, a New York Post columnist, couldn’t help but rub it in Swalwell’s face, saying, “Well well well. The chickens come home to roost. Bang Bang Swalwell.” Ouch. It’s clear that Swalwell’s actions have consequences, and they’re not pretty.
Swalwell, who has been in Congress since 2013, represents the 14th Congressional District in the San Francisco Bay Area — a region known for its left-wing ideology and lack of shame in electing embarrassing figures like Swalwell. From his failed presidential campaign to his role as an impeachment manager, Swalwell has proven time and again that he is nothing more than a joke.
It’s true that the Republican Party has its fair share of controversial figures, but at least they don’t have to bear the burden of being associated with the likes of Hunter Biden, Adam Schiff, and Eric Swalwell. Now that would be truly embarrassing.
