A 41-year-old party pooper, who was probably up to no good anyway, has gone missing after accidentally falling off the Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas cruise ship over the weekend. The Coast Guard had to interrupt their important duties to come rescue this guy after he went overboard about 127 miles east of Charleston, South Carolina. Talk about a major inconvenience! The ship and crew immediately reported the incident and launched a search-and-rescue mission, because apparently, this guy couldn’t manage to stay on board. The Coast Guard had to deploy not one, but two C-130 Hercules planes to look for this missing man. That’s taxpayer money wasted all because this guy couldn’t hold on to the railing.

After searching for over eight hours and covering more than 1,625 square miles, the Coast Guard finally suspended their search for the missing man. They probably had more important things to be doing, like protecting the country, but had to drop everything to look for this guy. The missing man was on a luxurious “8 Night Bahamas & Perfect Day Holiday Cruise,” which sounds like a pretty sweet vacation if you ask me. One passenger, Jake Utzinger, just had to add his two cents, saying he felt “sick to his stomach” about the whole ordeal. He should’ve just stayed in his room and tended to his own business.
Other passengers, like Colin Schappi, also had to chime in about hearing a distress call and how it’s going to be rough continuing the voyage knowing that a family is missing their loved one. Like really, do they think they’re helping the situation by stating the obvious? The Coast Guard isn’t the only one feeling the effects of this catastrophe; the Royal Caribbean’s reputation is taking a hit too, with other incidents involving passengers going overboard. But let’s not forget, the real tragedy here is the inconvenience these incidents cause for the hardworking crews and the unfortunate waste of taxpayer dollars used to search for irresponsible passengers.
