Speaking on the J6 Capitol riot, Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia blamed Nancy Pelosi, the outgoing House speaker.
According to Greene, Pelosi should be held accountable for her role in the failed security plan for the Capitol. However, Pelosi's office responded by saying that the Republican representative was mischaracterizing the situation.
Greene blamed Pelosi for the security failures that occurred at the Capitol. She said that the House speaker should be held accountable for the situation.
Nancy Pelosi is directly to blame for the security failures at the Capitol on January 6th.
She blamed everyone else now she must pay the price.https://t.co/gmiz9P3Rvq

A representative of Pelosi fired back at Greene, accusing her of spreading lies. Some Republicans, such as Donald Trump, have long claimed that Pelosi was partly responsible for the security issues that occurred on Jan. 6. Recently, a documentary showed that she pressed the Trump administration to provide more resources to the Capitol during the crisis.
More lies. More threats of political violence. Where is Kevin McCarthy? He’s groveling to this extreme MAGA element of his party in an effort to become the weakest Speaker of the House in history. https://t.co/qMF7TRwNMZ

On the other hand, an article that was based on a report from a group of would-be Republican members of the House Committee on Jan. 6 that claimed that multiple top aides of Pelosi were meeting regularly to discuss the security measures for the 2020 election.
A report released by a Senate panel last year revealed that the security failure was due to various bureaucratic procedures and procedural issues. These problems were then addressed through legislative reforms.
The House Committee, which was tasked with investigating the causes of the Capitol riot, is expected to release a final report. After delaying its publication by a day, the panel released a number of witness transcripts and referred key individuals, such as Trump, to the Justice Department.
