The second episode will stream on Thursday, June 6, at 8:30 PM Eastern Time. Subsequent episodes will continue to be released on Sunday and Thursday nights over the next month.
This season's streaming release follows a previous theatrical run that began in February. There was a delay in streaming the new season due to disagreements over contractual and business arrangements with Angel Studios, the entity that helped launch the show. These disagreements led to The Chosen and Angel Studios having separate apps, but they eventually resolved their differences through private arbitration.
Jenkins highlighted the show's mission to reach over a billion people and achieve sustainability. He noted that significant differences in opinion existed on how to best achieve this goal and what the future should look like. Despite these differences, Jenkins expressed gratitude to Angel Studios for their efforts and confirmed the termination of their contract, making social media livestreams and The Chosen app the exclusive platforms for watching Season Four.
