In a recent X post, stand-up comedian Theo Von didn’t hold back in expressing his frustration with the idea of President Joe Biden not having dementia. Von boldly stated, “Joe Biden has dementia. Can we please stop parading him around and pretending he [doesn’t]?” Von also expressed his sympathy for senior citizens, saying, “It’s honestly sad to do that to a senior citizen. If someone did that to my dad or grampa [I] would whooop their a**.”

Von’s comments drew responses from others, and he expanded on his viewpoint by criticizing Biden’s handlers. He argued that they were “sick” and were manipulating Americans into having what he described as a mass “Stockholm syndrome.” This theory suggests that some hostages develop an affinity for their captors and may even support their goals.
Although it’s unclear what specifically prompted Von’s post, he certainly wasn’t the first to question Biden’s mental fitness for office. GOP Rep. Greg Murphy, a licensed M.D., shared similar concerns, even suggesting that Biden was merely a puppet for a progressive left committee. Murphy, who is also a urological surgeon, has observed mental decline in older patients throughout his medical career.
Murphy noted that while Biden may have attempted to enhance his appearance through plastic surgery, there is evidence of internal mental decline. He cited the president’s emotional outbursts and difficulties controlling his emotions as signs of dementia.
Dr. Tanveer Ahmed, a psychiatrist, echoed these concerns by pointing out Biden’s confabulation, a tendency to fabricate stories to compensate for memory loss. Although Ahmed did not personally evaluate Biden, he described the evidence of confabulation as “overwhelming.”
Von’s outspoken criticism of Biden’s alleged dementia, along with concerns raised by medical professionals like Rep. Murphy and Dr. Ahmed, add fuel to the debate surrounding the president’s mental fitness for the role. Whether or not these claims hold merit, they contribute to a growing discussion about the capabilities of the Biden administration.
