In a recent accident that sounds like something straight out of a movie, a Norfolk Southern freight train went off the rails and ended up in a Pennsylvania riverbank. And if that’s not enough excitement for you, three rail cars decided to join in on the fun and derailed as well. Diesel fuel and plastic pellets were spilled along the Lehigh River near Bethlehem, creating quite the mess.
Now, while some folks might panic at the sight of a train doing its best impression of a fish and swimming in a river, the good news is that no one got hurt in this wild ride. Despite the diesel fuel spill and the plastic pellets party, local authorities were quick to contain the situation. Kudos to them for keeping their cool!

It seems like Norfolk Southern is no stranger to these kinds of incidents, as they faced a similar situation in Ohio not too long ago. But hey, accidents happen, right? As they say, practice makes perfect, so maybe they’ll figure out how to keep their trains on track one of these days.
Sure, it’s easy to point fingers and play the blame game, but let’s cut Norfolk Southern some slack. They’re hard at work trying to clean up the mess they made, and they even sent out a statement to assure everyone that there’s no need to worry. So, let’s all just take a deep breath, say a little prayer for those plastic pellets, and hope that next time, the train stays where it belongs – on the tracks!
