The Air Force Academy recently made a peculiar choice for a speaker at its National Character and Leadership Symposium. Instead of bringing in a grizzled war hero or a seasoned military strategist, they opted for Lieutenant Colonel Bree Fram. Now, Lieutenant Colonel Fram may have served for 18 years in the Air Force and now the Space Force, but the real headline here is that Bree is transgender. Yes, you heard it right, a transgender officer giving lectures on character to our future leaders.
In the good old days, our military was all about toughness and grit. But now, apparently, it’s all about embracing diversity and inclusion. Lieutenant Colonel Fram is one of the highest-ranking transgender officers in the military, and she’s out there promoting her book and podcast on LGBTQ+ issues. It makes you wonder, are we focusing on the right priorities here?

You mean the lack of character. The degenerates are doing everything they can to destroy our military.

During her lecture, Lieutenant Colonel Fram talked about the importance of LGBTQ+ inclusion in the military, citing historical examples like Albert Cashier, who fought in the Civil War disguised as a male soldier. Now, that’s all well and good for a history lesson, but does it really have to be the centerpiece of a leadership symposium? Shouldn’t we be focusing on things like combat readiness and military strategy?
It’s no secret that the military is facing recruitment challenges, with the smallest military in 80 years. Yet, here we are, spending millions on diversity and inclusion programs. Maybe, just maybe, the key to a strong military isn’t in pronouns and inclusivity training. Maybe it’s in actually preparing our troops for battle and ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.
But hey, who needs a well-equipped fighting force when you have DEI initiatives, right? The Air Force Academy and Lieutenant Colonel Fram seem to think so. And as long as we’re celebrating Pride and sharing our pronouns, I guess we’ll be just fine. Who needs a powerful army when you have a diverse and inclusive one, right? But try telling that to our enemies when they’re knocking on our door.
