Trump Backs Jordan for House Speaker: Crime and Border Bulldog!

President Donald Trump has thrown his support behind Republican Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) in his bid to become the next Speaker of the House. Trump made the announcement on Truth Social, his new online platform, where he praised Jordan’s accomplishments and qualifications. According to Trump, Jordan is a respected figure in Congress and has proven himself as the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. Trump also highlighted Jordan’s background in sports, noting his impressive record in high school and college wrestling.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Trump pointed out Jordan’s strong stance on crime, border security, military and veterans’ affairs, and the Second Amendment. Trump believes that Jordan, along with his wife Polly and their family, would be an outstanding choice to lead the House as Speaker. Trump’s endorsement comes after Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX) revealed that Trump is backing Jordan for the position. Nehls emphasized the importance of heeding the leader of the Republican party in the Speaker’s race and expressed his full support for Jordan.

Jim Jordan confirmed his bid for Speaker shortly after Kevin McCarthy’s ouster this week. Jordan has gained prominence in his role as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and has been a vocal opponent of former President Barack Obama. He has also played a significant role in the impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden. Jordan is known for his conservative views and is a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus, exerting influence over the Republican Party’s conservative bloc.

Numerous other Republican representatives have also endorsed Jordan’s candidacy for Speaker, including Rep. Thomas Massie and Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY). Hageman lauded Jordan as a solid conservative and an effective leader who aligns with the “America First” agenda. Meanwhile, some political pundits and Republicans have floated the idea of Trump himself becoming Speaker. Steve Bannon, host of War Room, believes that electing Trump as Speaker would unite the party, while Alex Jones of Infowars suggested nominating Trump as a litmus test for Republicans. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani also lent his support to the idea. Additionally, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed her backing for Donald Trump as Speaker.
