Former President Donald Trump is back and ready to rock the 2024 campaign trail, unleashing a double dose of rallies next week, one in Miami on Tuesday and another in Pittsburgh’s suburbs on Thursday.
After a dynamic appearance in Virginia post-debate, Trump looks to build on his growing momentum while Joe Biden’s debate performance flub left many questioning whether the aging president could even locate the White House without a map. It’s not surprising that a CNN poll shows Biden lagging behind Trump by six points among likely voters and nine points among the registered folks – a clear three-point swing toward Trump since the debate debacle.

Adding spice to the scene, Democrats are throwing Biden under the campaign bus. Reps. Loyd Doggett of Texas and Raul Grijalva of Arizona have publicly aired their laundry, hinting the party might be better off with someone who doesn’t need a teleprompter to remember what year it is. They’re growing concerned Biden may drag down-ticket Democrats into the abyss in competitive states.
Trump has had no qualms about twisting the knife, notably sharpening his jabs at Vice President Kamala Harris, who many speculate might be the party’s backup plan if they can convince Biden to retire to his basement permanently. Trump’s colorful language in a leaked video left little doubt about his low opinion of the veep, expressing his belief that Biden will eventually bow out and leave the elections in Harris’s hands – though he seems to think she’s even worse.
