Trump Deflects Woke Sermon at Prayer Service With Sharp Policy Contrast

President Donald Trump has always had a knack for cutting through the fluff, and a recent exchange with reporters gave a glimpse of his thoughts on the woke sermon delivered by an Episcopal priestess at the National Prayer Service. As the president made his way back to the White House, reporters were eager to know what he thought about the service, but Trump turned the tables, prompting them with their own questions. The exchange was a classic example of Trump’s no-nonsense approach, leaving everyone wondering if he even bothered to listen to the so-called “mercy” plea.

The priestess in question, Bishop Mariann Budde, chose the National Prayer Service—a gathering that could have been a moment of unity—to spout her views on LGBTQ individuals and immigration. She claimed there are children out there living in fear for their lives, insisting that this plight extends to various political households. While she could have invoked the spirit of true prayer and reflection, Budde took a page from the liberal playbook, railing against anything that doesn’t fit her narrative—which, judging from her past, includes a steady diet of anti-Trump rhetoric.

Whether or not Budde’s sermon had any real impact is debatable. She put forth that the vast majority of illegal immigrants are non-criminals, yet ignored the reality of border concerns and the consequences of unchecked migration. While she described the essential roles that immigrants play in society, it was a classic case of virtue signaling at its finest. By neglecting the complexities of immigration and criminality, Budde or perhaps dreamt that waving a magic wand would solve everything.

This is no new chapter for Budde, who previously didn’t take too kindly to Trump’s visit to her church after it was damaged during a BLM protest. She was quick to express outrage about Trump posing with a Bible while conveniently sidestepping the fact that the church had suffered extensive damages. If a fire was not enough for her to rant on about, one can only wonder what’s left. Perhaps a fresh batch of concerns about the weather?

On the other hand, Trump isn’t backing down from his agenda. Recently signing an executive order focused on “DEFENDING WOMEN FROM GENDER IDEOLOGY EXTREMISM AND RESTORING BIOLOGICAL TRUTH TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT,” Trump is clearly drawn to validating the biological differences that some seem eager to erase. His focus on protecting women and children from the excesses of woke ideology should come as no surprise to anyone paying attention.

As the chasm widens between traditional values and the radical whims of the left, Trump’s insistence on basing policy on biological truth shines like a beacon amidst the fog. His orders emphasize that public safety and trust in government hinge on acknowledging reality. So while Budde’s plea for “mercy” may echo in the hallowed halls of the woke cathedral, it pales in comparison to the commonsense policies that Trump aims to reinforce. The contrast couldn’t be clearer: a call for empathy devoid of context versus a firm stance grounded in reality.
