According to anti-Trump Republican strategist Mike Madrid, Trump’s influence has played a significant role in shaping the Democratic primary race. Madrid believes that Trump’s attacks on Schiff have inadvertently thrust him into the spotlight as a leading figure in the opposition against Trump, which is apparently what Democratic primary voters are seeking.
Schiff, once viewed as a moderate Democratic centrist, has undergone a transformation during the Trump era, propelling him to national prominence and aiding him in amassing a whopping $32 million for his Senate campaign – more than double the funds raised by his closest competitors.
