Trump claims that these charges were brought against him and other presidents who would be guilty of the same crimes, solely for the purpose of impacting a presidential election in which he was “losing very badly”.

Former President Trump also shines a light on President Biden’s extensive issues with classified documents, blatantly exposing the security issues that exist in the administration’s handling of sensitive information. Classified documents were reportedly kept in lightly guarded office buildings and even his Delaware garage. Trump brings to attention the double standards in the classified documents scandals involving previous presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, pointing out the hypocrisy of the current administration’s moral high ground.
The former president’s supporters erupted in applause when he vowed to defeat corruption and bring America to greatness again. In his speech, Trump pledges to win against his foes and make America greater than ever before, galvanizing his supporters. He cites extensive counts of crimes, in particular, Espionage Act violations and obstruction of justice, levied against him, citing the Presidential Records Act to slam special counsel Jack Smith’s legal theory.
Trump’s legal team has underlined the similar behavior seen in totalitarian regimes like Venezuela and Cuba, comparing the prosecution to the behaviors of such states.
