In a bold move on his newly launched platform, Truth Social, former President Donald Trump unapologetically slammed New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron for his alleged targeting of Trump’s children in the ongoing prosecution. Trump didn’t hold back, calling Engoron a disgrace to the legal profession and a Democrat-appointed judge.
Trump lambasted the trial, labeling it a rigged ordeal masterminded by the “Racist New York State A.G., Letitia James,” with Engoron being the “developer hating judge.” He adamantly argued that the case shouldn’t have been brought forward in the first place, citing Michael Cohen’s admission of lying on the stand and denying any involvement in inflating financial statements.
As if that wasn’t enough, Trump vehemently disputed the valuation of his Mar-a-Lago property, claiming that the financial statements undervalued it. He asserted that Mar-a-Lago was worth much more than the reported $18,000,000 and that the banks and insurance companies were all paid in full with no defaults. In true Trump fashion, he made sure to mention himself as the only “victim” in this situation.
While his children, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, testified in court, Trump couldn’t help but take a jab at Engoron for allegedly allowing distractions in the courtroom. A meme was apparently posted by Donald Trump Jr. on social media, poking fun at the recent ‘Bootgate’ scandal surrounding Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ footwear. Trump hinted that this was proof of Engoron’s bias.
Trump was far from done with his criticisms. He labeled Engoron as a political hack, claiming that the judge ruled against him even before the trial began. Trump expressed his frustration, highlighting that he wasn’t given the option of a jury. He insisted that this rigged case should have been dismissed and remarked that Engoron should have recused himself if he couldn’t let go of it. Trump accused Engoron of being unhinged, dangerous, and a detriment to the judicial system.

In the midst of it all, Melania Trump, the former First Lady, shared her husband’s anger and belief that these legal issues were nothing more than election interference by political rivals. Though she hasn’t been called to testify, Melania stands by her husband’s side in this battle.
It’s clear that Donald Trump is using his new platform to fight back and defend his family in the face of what he perceives as unjust prosecution. Whether you agree with Trump’s opinions or not, it’s hard to deny his determination and his desire to protect his children from what he sees as political persecution.
