Despite the relentless attempts by the Left to take down former President Trump, he remains the Republican Party’s top pick for the 2024 presidential campaign. The Marist Institute for Public Opinion recently conducted a poll that concluded that 64% of Republican and Republican-leaning voters are still loyal to Trump and will support him if he chooses to run once again. This number is up from previous polls, showing that Trump’s popularity is only growing among Republicans.

Additionally, the poll found that 76% of Republican respondents have a positive view of the former president, marking an increase from February’s poll which found that only 68% viewed him positively. Moreover, while many Republicans believe that Trump may have acted inappropriately in certain situations, less than half of the respondents actually think he committed a crime.
As the Democrats continue to try and rid themselves of Trump, their efforts are arguably backfiring as he is only gaining more support among Republicans. This is despite President Biden facing his own legal woes, with no clear way out. It is evident that the majority of Republicans stand behind Trump, and they are not wavered even in the face of these unfolding events.
A recent Harvard CAPS-Harris poll revealed that, in a hypothetical 2024 presidential race matchup, Trump leads Biden by six percentage points. Even his recent indictment on 37 felony counts, related to his alleged mishandling of classified information, has had “no impact on his lead against Biden, whose job rating remains at 43 percent.”
As if this weren’t proof enough, the Republican National Committee has also pledged its support for Trump. Although some Republican candidates are urging the RNC to change its policies so that supporting Trump is no longer a requisite for the nominee, there has been no formal change in policy. This only serves as further proof of the unwavering support that Trump has within the Republican Party.
In conclusion, despite the efforts of the Left to attack and defame him, Trump continues to hold strong among Republicans. He has more support than ever before, even as the Democrats’ efforts to get him out of the picture only seem to be backfiring. With 2024 on the horizon, this poll shows that Trump is poised to take back the White House and keep America great.
