The Guardian, a left-leaning outlet, paints a doomsday scenario in which Trump wins a second term and enacts revenge on his enemies. The article mentions Trump’s promise to pardon January 6 insurrectionists, his plan to dismantle the “deep state,” and his desire to expand presidential power.

However, when viewed from a conservative perspective, these actions seem positive. Pardoning incarcerated Americans and reducing government bureaucracy could be seen as necessary to achieve Trump’s agenda of putting America first. Trump’s first term was hindered by government red tape, and if he wants to accomplish his goals in a second term, some changes may be necessary. While the left fears a dictatorial takeover, conservatives trust in the system of checks and balances to prevent that. Ultimately, it is important for Trump to get a second term to continue his work, despite the opposition from the left.
