The latest orders are a breath of fresh air for parents and taxpayers alike, focusing on expanding educational freedom and squashing radical indoctrination in K-12 schools. It’s about time someone wiped the ideological slate clean and put parents in the driver’s seat of their children’s education.
The first executive order places a magnifying glass on education choice, a concept that has been gathering dust thanks to decades of government-run schooling. With only 30% of eighth graders making the mark in reading and a dismal 28% managing to be proficient in math according to the National Assessment of Educational Progress, it’s clear that something is fundamentally broken.
