Former President Donald Trump may not have won the 2024 general election, but that hasn’t stopped him from planning his comeback. And let’s just say, his agenda for 2025 is a little more ambitious than your usual politician’s to-do list. It’s like a turbocharged version of the Nixonian executive overhaul, designed to give the president even more power. Of course, this will set off alarms for liberals who will cry “fascism,” but Trump isn’t one to back down. He wants to overhaul the entire executive branch, revamping it to give him broad powers and the ability to purge thousands of “troublesome” officials. Say goodbye to the deep state as we know it. Trump’s plan is to shake things up, and if it triggers the left, well, that’s just a bonus.

According to The New York Times, Trump and his allies have big plans to concentrate power directly in the president’s hands. They want to bring independent agencies, like the Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Trade Commission, under direct control of the Oval Office. They also want to revive the practice of refusing to spend money on programs the president doesn’t like, a tactic that was banned under Nixon. And let’s not forget about stripping employment protections from career civil servants who don’t align with Trump’s agenda. Oh, and he also wants to clean house in the intelligence agencies and other government bureaucracies. No wonder the left is up in arms about this.
But here’s the thing, folks. Trump’s plan is right on target. The left has been playing dirty for years, using the Justice Department to go after their political enemies. It’s time for us conservatives to fight fire with fire, and that means giving the president the power he needs to get rid of those annoying lefty officials who just can’t accept that they lost fair and square. We need accountability in our government, and if that means enhancing presidential powers, so be it. We can’t let the left continue to trample on our rights and ignore the rule of law. It’s time to level the playing field and make sure equal protection under the law is guaranteed for all, not just when Democrats are in charge. Let’s give this plan a spin and see what happens.
