People can already imagine the media’s response to any out-of-the-box thinking from Trump. Instead of focusing on the policy impacts, the left’s talking heads will likely twist and spin his decisions into something sensational, declaring “Oh, the humanity!” as they clutch their pearls. Yet, it’s crucial for conservatives to recognize that change is rarely comfortable, especially when it shakes the foundations of an establishment that has clung to power for decades.
The real question is whether such a bold approach will resonate with the wider electorate. Trump’s supporters are ready to embrace a new approach to governance but must ensure that it aligns with genuine conservative values and priorities. After all, it’s one thing to tear down walls, but another to build something worthwhile in their place.
