President Donald Trump is on the lookout for his potential vice presidential running mate, and the stakes are high. Vance, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and Representative Elise Stefanik are among the names mentioned. However, it’s not certain if Vance or Sanders are interested in the position, while Stefanik seems to be actively campaigning for it.
Among the potential candidates, Senator Tim Scott also appears on the shortlist. Vance, Scott, and Stefanik have all been seen supporting Trump in New Hampshire. Trump himself has hinted at a few possibilities, mentioning that he likes a “very good person” who is pretty standard. However, he made it clear that there’s still a lot of competition, and he’s not tied to any particular candidate just yet.

When asked about the possibility of DeSantis having a role in the Trump administration, the former president seemed skeptical. He mentioned that DeSantis dropping out of the race made it highly unlikely, and that many other great people have been with him from the beginning. It seems DeSantis might still have his sights set on the top spot.
Haley, who has been critical of Trump in recent days, also seems to have fallen out of favor. Trump declared that she wasn’t of “presidential timber” and thus not a likely pick. It’s clear that their recent disagreements have hurt her chances.
Other sources have shed some light on Trump’s thinking. Glenn Beck claims that Trump asked for his opinion and most people recommended Vivek because of his ability to connect with and excite young voters. Sebastian Gorka, on the other hand, revealed that he knows who the choice is, and it’s a man who isn’t being discussed. He described the choice as “superb” and hinted that it might be former New York politician Lee Zeldin, who is currently campaigning alongside Trump.
