Last year, over 35,000 of these heroes faced the harsh streets alone, but a bright beacon of hope shines through the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This organization is advancing a mission to house every hero, aiming to assist more than 10,000 veterans this year alone, with several exciting developments underway.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is making significant strides in addressing homelessness among veterans. Recently, they broke ground on multiple Veteran Villages across the country, which are set to provide mortgage-free homes to 40 needy families. The CEO of the foundation, Frank Siller, has been at the forefront of this initiative, showcasing the impactful work being done to improve the lives of those who have served. This Veterans Day marks a special occasion as the foundation delivers mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families and veterans, ensuring they have a safe place to call home.
Siller pointed out that the number of homeless veterans is likely underreported, indicating that there may be even more than the estimated 35,000 currently on the streets. The foundation collaborates with around 1,000 local nonprofits nationwide to seek out homeless veterans, working swiftly to provide them with the help they desperately need. Ensuring that veterans are housed and given comprehensive services to help them get back on their feet is a top priority for the organization.

A shining example is John Crenshaw, an Army veteran who suffered severe injuries in Afghanistan.
