The University of Texas-San Antonio recently made headlines for closing its Office of Inclusive Excellence, but don’t be fooled by their sleight of hand. The move comes in response to a law that’s finally putting the kibosh on all the “woke” nonsense that’s been infecting our public universities.
Texas Public University Closes DEI Office to Comply With New Law…But Here's What It Did Next

The closure is in response to Senate Bill 17, which will finally put an end to the absurdity of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion offices at public university campuses. It’s about time someone had the guts to stand up to the leftist agenda that’s been poisoning our higher education institutions.
UTSA President Taylor Eighmy isn’t giving up that easily. In a recent email to the campus community, he announced the creation of a new office using the same staff.
The new office, dubbed the Office of Campus and Community Belonging, is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to continue promoting the same old “woke” ideologies under a different name.
The president claims the new office will uphold the law while still promoting their so-called “core values” of inclusivity.
What’s really infuriating is that they plan to staff the new office with the same people from the Office of Inclusive Excellence. They may have “new roles with updated responsibilities,” but it’s the same old song, just with a different chorus.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed SB 17 into law. Finally, we have someone in power who’s willing to put an end to the madness and restore some common sense to our institutions of higher learning.
The Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Thomas Lindsay hit the nail on the head when he said he would be “shocked and dismayed” if UTSA tried to find a way around the law.
UTSA might think they’re being clever by rebranding their “woke” office, but they can’t pull the wool over the eyes of those who see through their leftist agenda.
