Whoopi Slams SCOTUS, Ignored Affirmative Action’s Discrimination

Whoopi Goldberg, one of the liberal commentators on ABC’s “The View,” went on a tirade in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to effectively ban race-based affirmative action on college campuses. As expected, she took the opportunity to make it all about race, reminiscing about the civil rights movements of the 1960s. But let’s get one thing straight, Goldberg, if Americans were truly being treated equally, there would be no need for affirmative action in the first place!

Goldberg tried to play the victim card, blaming the loss of affirmative action on two individuals who decided to take legal action against discrimination they faced under this discriminatory policy. She conveniently forgets that affirmative action itself is discriminatory! It’s time to move forward from this race-obsessed policy and embrace true equality based on merit.

And then she had the audacity to question Justice Clarence Thomas’s understanding of diversity. Well, Goldberg, I have a question for you: could your mother and father have voted freely in this country? The fact is, the 14th Amendment ensured equal protection under the law, regardless of race. It’s because of the civil rights activists who fought for true equality that your parents had the right to vote. Let’s not forget those who actually made a difference, rather than perpetuating victimhood.

Goldberg’s co-host Joy Behar, not one to miss an opportunity for her own liberal rant, chimed in with her dislike of legacy policies at institutions like Harvard. She proudly proclaimed that she didn’t have anyone in her family who went to Harvard. Well, Behar, maybe your family didn’t go to Harvard because they believed in hard work and earning success instead of relying on legacy admissions.

And let’s not forget Behar’s absurd claim that those who believe in a post-racial society are delusional. Just because we elected a Black president doesn’t mean racism is eradicated. But how about we focus on the progress we’ve made and stop perpetuating division? It’s disheartening to see these liberals constantly pushing their agenda and trying to reverse the progress we’ve made.

Finally, Justice Thomas hit the nail on the head in his concurring opinion, calling out the race-based worldview of his colleague and the liberals who think affirmative action is necessary. He understands that this policy is an insult to individual achievement and, instead of empowering young minds, it perpetuates victimhood. It’s time to move beyond affirmative action and embrace a society where people are judged based on their abilities, not the color of their skin.

The Supreme Court’s decision is a victory for true equality and a step towards a merit-based society. It’s time for liberals like Goldberg and Behar to stop dwelling on the past and start focusing on empowering individuals to achieve success on their own merits. Enough with the victim mentality, let’s embrace a society where hard work and merit are rewarded, regardless of race.
