ABC News Anchor Questions Biden’s Capacity for Second Term

George Stephanopoulos, ABC News anchor and former Clinton advisor, isn’t the only one waving the red flag of doubt over President Joe Biden’s capacity to handle another term in office. Stephanopoulos, in a moment of unexpected candor, confided to TMZ that he doesn’t think Biden can handle another four years. Of course, after the uproar, he tried to walk it back, probably remembering that as a so-called journalist, he’s supposed to wear the mask of objectivity. But the bell had already rung.

It’s not just the conservative sphere ringing alarm bells. Voters across the board can see the writing on the wall: Biden isn’t fit to continue serving, let alone launch another presidential campaign. Even segments of the Democratic party, in a rare flash of honesty, are starting to echo these concerns. Sarah Bedford highlighted this on Newsmax’s The National Report, stating that while Biden might have momentarily improved his standing within his party by declaring his intent to run in 2024, the worries over his suitability haven’t exactly evaporated. The grand idea is that if he can’t manage now, in the closing chapters of his first term, why gamble on a second round?

It’s not like Stephanopoulos is some rogue critic either. Hollywood’s liberal sweetheart George Clooney pitched in his two cents, suggesting in an op-ed that Biden should retire gracefully from the 2024 race. And let’s not forget Stephen King, the horror writer who makes no secret of his disdain for Donald Trump; even he’s advising Biden to sit this one out. When the woke glitterati start balking, you know there’s a serious problem.

Despite this chorus of concern, Biden remains unfazed. He’s doubling down on his 2024 aspirations, issuing a challenge to any Democrat daring enough to oppose him at the Democratic National Convention. It’s a bold move considering the growing number of party members squirming at the thought of his continued leadership. To underscore his determination, Biden even penned a letter to Democratic lawmakers, reaffirming his commitment to another round in the Oval Office.

Senator Bernie Sanders, forever the maverick, suggests that Biden should ditch the teleprompter and engage directly with voters to showcase his mental acuity. Sanders argues that Biden needs more off-the-cuff moments to convince the public he’s still sharp enough for the job. The burning question remains: can Biden genuinely prove he’s got the mental stamina to back up these grand gestures, or is this just a last-ditch attempt by a beleaguered party clinging to an unsalvageable ship?
