Former Attorney General Bill Barr has criticized the Biden Justice Department for its double standards in handling the latest Trump indictment and the Hunter Biden probe. Barr, who has been openly critical of Trump since leaving office, defended the charges against Trump but questioned the decision to bring them. He pointed out the lenient treatment of Hunter Biden by comparison, which he believes shows a clear double standard. Barr said that this aggressive move against Trump is divisive, especially considering the department’s lenient treatment of Hunter Biden. He also expressed concerns about the handling of the case and its potential impact on the country.
In addition to Barr’s criticism, there is evidence that the Justice Department actively intervened to hinder any criminal investigation into Hunter Biden. Two credible IRS whistleblowers testified to this effect. If Hunter Biden is implicated, it could have serious consequences for Joe Biden, as they were involved in a government access venture that allowed them to accrue millions in potentially illicit ways.

However, Barr’s assessment of Trump’s ability to win the 2024 election is where his opinion falls short. Barr claimed that Trump would bring chaos and a horror show if he returned to the White House, citing his lack of discipline and strategic thinking. But one could argue that we are already living in a horror show under Biden, who lacks strategic thinking and the ability to set priorities. This applies not only to Biden but also to his officials and cabinet secretaries. When left to his own devices, Biden is a trainwreck. The mounting evidence of the Biden bribery scandal also serves to lessen the general election issues surrounding Trump.
