The audacity of Ryan Routh is appalling. This man tried to kill President Donald Trump, and now he wants to choose a state where he can have assisted suicide? This isn’t a game where you get to dictate terms after attempting to murder a former president. It’s almost absurd to think that after committing such a heinous act, he believes he deserves any kind of preferential treatment in prison.
He’s a criminal, yet Routh is gallivanting around with requests and suggestions as if negotiating a prisoner swap for himself. The idea of exchanging him for noble prisoners abroad is laughable. This man stands guilty of attempted assassination and now wants to ride some moral high horse by suggesting his life can somehow be of diplomatic value. His pipe dreams of being traded to another country are the delusions of someone deeply misguided.

Routh even attempted to stab himself with a pen in the courtroom, clearly not in the right mindset, one might argue. But don’t be fooled—this isn’t about a man’s mental health. It’s about liberal absurdity, where even criminals are coddled and allowed to spin fantasies that they deserve special treatment. It echoes the left’s obsession with villainizing strong leaders and giving platforms to those who seek to destroy our values and institutions. Here’s someone trying to end a life and escaping the consequences of his actions under the guise of “mental health.”
One wonders if he truly understands the seriousness of his actions. Using assisted suicide as an escape clause is nothing short of a coward’s way out. It’s a page right out of the liberals’ notebook, where the consequences of wrongdoing are always negotiable. When will the left wake up and recognize that some people just don’t deserve a special pass?
Instead of entertaining this absurdity, the focus should be on holding individuals accountable for their actions. Keep Routh in prison where he belongs and let him face the music he created. Should we allow such madness to cloud our judgment, we’re playing into the hands of those who’d rather see justice turned into a circus. Do we really want to live in a world where such distorted views take precedence over law and order?
