Beto O’Rourke just got caught red-handed showing his true colors. The failed presidential candidate who loves to lecture Americans about fair elections got slapped down by a Texas judge for his shady fundraising schemes.
A Tarrant County judge issued a restraining order against O’Rourke and his nonprofit group Powered by People. The ruling came after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton exposed how O’Rourke was illegally raising money to help runaway Democrats flee the state and block legitimate voting.
For years, O’Rourke has preached about stopping gerrymandering and protecting democracy. He built his whole political brand on fighting the so-called unfair drawing of district lines. But when Republicans try to redraw maps legally, suddenly O’Rourke thinks it’s okay to break the law.
The judge found that O’Rourke was using political donations to pay for airfare, hotel rooms, and daily fines for Democrats who abandoned their jobs. Texas law clearly states you cannot use campaign money to pay these fines. O’Rourke knew this but did it anyway.
Even worse, billionaire George Soros is also pumping money into this scheme through his Texas Majority PAC. These out-of-state elites think they can buy Texas politics and override what voters want. They are dead wrong.
President Trump called out this hypocrisy perfectly when he said Democrats can’t just sit out the democratic process. You have to show up and do your job, not run away like children throwing a tantrum. That’s not how our system works.
This whole mess proves what conservatives have always known about Beto O’Rourke. He talks about principles and fairness, but when push comes to shove, he’ll break any rule to get his way. He’s a typical liberal politician who thinks laws don’t apply to him.
Texas Republicans are fighting back hard against this corruption. Attorney General Paxton deserves praise for holding O’Rourke accountable and protecting the integrity of our elections. Real Texans won’t let these coastal elites destroy our democracy.
