Biden and Buttigieg’s Neglect of Air Safety Puts Lives at Risk

America’s air traffic control system, once a marvel of modern ingenuity, has become a relic on the verge of collapse, and who is to blame? None other than Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg. Despite sitting atop a mountain of cash from what was labeled the largest infrastructure package ever, they turned a blind eye to our outdated airways, prioritizing woke pet projects over real infrastructure needs.

Instead of focusing on safety, Buttigieg was busy renaming cockpits and redefining aviator lingo, apparently more concerned with political correctness than passenger safety. Meanwhile, the skies become more dangerous by the day, a tragic fact underscored by recent disastrous incidents of mid-air collisions and near-misses. This is liberal incompetence at its finest, showcasing how prioritizing ideology over practicality leads to perilous outcomes.

What makes this fiasco all the more infuriating is the stubborn refusal to heed the alarm bells that were sounding loudly. Time and again, government watchdogs, like the GAO, highlighted the frail state of the system, laying out the risks in black and white. Yet, the echoes of their warnings fell on deaf ears in the halls of a presidency more concerned with symbolism than substance.

Now, under new leadership, there is a concerted effort to undo this negligence. The plan to rebuild our air traffic framework isn’t just ambitious, it’s necessary. Driven by pressing needs, the current administration is finally putting American safety at the fore, aiming to rectify the safety lapses left behind by their predecessors. It won’t be easy, but with the backing of a president focused on real-world results, progress is at least in motion.

One must ask, what does it say about an administration that ignores imminent dangers for the sake of empty gestures and misplaced priorities? Maybe it’s time for progressive elites to look up from their agenda-filled playbooks and start seeing the turbulence their policies create. After all, safety should never take a backseat to self-serving idealism.
