Once again, the Biden administration is resorting to the blame game, accusing the Texas military of hindering Border Patrol agents from rescuing stranded migrants near the Rio Grande river bank. This instance reflects the left's tendency to deflect responsibility rather than address the actual issue.
As per a Supreme Court filing, the Texas Department of Public Safety assumed control of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, allegedly preventing Border Patrol agents from overseeing the area. The administration contends that the Texas National Guard obstructed agents from rescuing two stranded migrants on the Texas side of the river. However, it is crucial to emphasize that the blame lies squarely with the Biden administration's failure to secure the border initially.

The acting supervisory border patrol agent reportedly sought entry to the area from the Texas National Guard to aid the distressed migrants but was denied, leaving the situation in the hands of Texas authorities. While Mexican authorities ultimately rescued the stranded migrants, three others had tragically drowned in the river just an hour prior.
This incident highlights the incompetence and lack of control exhibited by the Biden administration in handling the border crisis. Texas authorities had to intervene because the federal government failed to fulfill its responsibilities. Texas is actively addressing the issue and asserting full control over the border, while the Biden administration appears more focused on political agendas than the safety and security of American citizens.
The administration's policies have led to an unprecedented surge in illegal immigration, with migrant apprehensions at the southern border soaring to 2.2 million in fiscal year 2022. This surge is a direct consequence of the administration's lenient stance on immigration and its failure to address the root causes of the crisis. It is high time for the administration to take accountability for the repercussions of its actions.
Securing our borders and safeguarding national sovereignty are imperative. Texas recognizes this and is taking decisive actions to tackle the ongoing crisis. Conversely, the Biden administration seems inclined to pass blame rather than exhibit effective leadership. This level of incompetence is unacceptable.
The commendable efforts of the Texas National Guard in apprehending migrants and providing emergency medical services should be acknowledged. They are on the front lines, fulfilling a role that the Biden administration has neglected. It is time for the federal government to step up, take control, and approach the border crisis with the seriousness it demands. Our country's security and the well-being of American citizens should never be compromised for political gain.
