The Biden campaign caused a ruckus down in Florida with what some are calling a major fail in their attempt to reach out to Hispanic voters. The Miami Herald’s Fabiola Santiago didn’t hold back when she slammed the campaign for their “Three gringos launching ‘Latinos con Biden-Harris’ in posh Coral Gables” shindig. Ouch!
Apparently, the event was a flop because no local media or big-shot Hispanic figures from the Democrat Party were in attendance. Santiago didn’t sugarcoat it when she wrote, “Sending the Second Gentleman, as charming as he is, means we aren’t an important state.” In other words, it seems like the campaign might be setting their sights on swing states like Arizona and leaving Florida in the dust. Talk about a snub!
Biden campaign/FL Dems botched a Hispanic outreach event
In Miami
✅didn’t invite local media
✅Then, @fabiolasantiago (who often reflects their politics!) wasted them in @MiamiHerald

And it didn’t stop there! According to Santiago, the Democrats could’ve brought in heavy hitters like Biden’s education secretary, Miguel Cardona, or Cuban American Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to make a real impact. Instead, they rolled out the red carpet for Emhoff, who apparently doesn’t quite stack up when it comes to courting the Hispanic vote. Yikes!
But when folks tried to clap back at Santiago for her blunt assessment, it just made matters worse. The Democratic Hispanic Caucus of Florida released a statement sounding all sour grapes about Santiago’s criticism, but it only made them look even more out of touch. Seriously, do they really want to squabble with a big name like her? It’s like picking a fight with a superhero – you’re just asking for trouble!
This whole debacle has got people shaking their heads and wondering what in the world the Biden campaign was thinking. It’s as if they didn’t even bother to do their homework on how to connect with Florida’s vibrant Hispanic community. Who’s running the show over there, anyway? This kind of misstep makes you wonder if they’re taking the entire election seriously. Sheesh!
