President Joe Biden is at it again with his cringeworthy and inappropriate remarks. During a screening of the movie “Flamin’ Hot” at the White House yesterday, Biden took the opportunity to pander to various groups and made quite a few problematic statements. Biden suggested that he is Mexican and every immigrant while addressing the audience at the White House and said, “We were not welcome,” which is a clear appropriation of immigrant stories. Furthermore, he made a cringe-worthy joke about Eva Longoria’s age, saying, “We’ve known each other for a long time. She was 17, I was 40.”
Biden seems to have a habit of making inappropriate comments and trying to hijack people’s stories as his own. Biden even made up a stat that 26 out of every 100 students in grades kindergarten through 12 speak Spanish. He doesn’t seem to understand that speaking Spanish doesn’t make someone automatically Hispanic and his numbers are inaccurate, as proven by Politifact.
Biden’s problematic remarks aren’t new, and he even admitted that he gets into trouble when he goes off-script. It raises questions about the extent to which his administration controls him, which may be quite substantial. Biden claims that he’s giving Americans breathing room by getting rid of junk fees on tickets, but he fails to understand that this is not a priority for the vast majority of Americans.

Biden’s comments were problematic and inappropriate, but what’s worse is that he shows a clear lack of understanding and care for the groups he’s trying to appropriate. It raises questions about how he’s really representing the people, and it’s concerning for the future of our country.
