Biden’s 14 Billion Transportation Disaster Is Bankrupting America Right Now

The Biden administration’s reckless waste of taxpayer dollars just hit another shameful low. Republican Senator Joni Ernst is right to demand that Washington slam the brakes on a staggering $14 billion funneling into a laundry list of federal transportation disasters. These projects are not just over budget — often by billions — they’re years behind schedule and offer little hope for completion anytime soon. Enough is enough. It’s time to stop throwing good money after bad and start holding bureaucrats accountable.

It’s no secret that liberal politicians love their big government building boondoggles. California’s failed high-speed rail nightmare alone has already swallowed billions of taxpayer dollars with barely a mile of track to show for it. Now, projects like the Honolulu Rail Transit and the Washington Metro’s Purple Line are following suit — packed with endless delays and massive budget overruns. This isn’t mismanagement; it’s Washington’s standard operating procedure for pork-barrel politics, driven by globalist cronies who want to expand the government without a care for the taxpayer’s wallet.

Senator Ernst is playing the role conservatives should have embraced long ago. She’s pushing back against the culture of fiscal irresponsibility that has dominated D.C. for decades. By teaming up with Trump’s former Transportation Secretary, she’s shining a spotlight on these money pits and demanding that any unspent funds be clawed back and returned to hardworking Americans. Why keep funding trains to nowhere while America’s national debt surges past $37 trillion? It’s a slap in the face to anyone who’s trying to budget for their family’s future.

What’s even more galling is the administration’s refusal to provide transparency or detailed explanations for these ballooning costs and delays. A brief, one-page chart with barely any information is their idea of fiscal oversight. Meanwhile, taxpayers get stuck footing billions for projects that may never get finished. Liberals are masterful at protecting their spending sprees—even when it means robbing the next generation blind. It’s no surprise they’re more interested in appeasing special interests than in delivering real, efficient infrastructure.

Ernst’s fight is a beacon of sanity in a swamp choking on corruption and incompetence. If Washington won’t cut the fat and rein in these boondoggles, it’s on the rest of us to demand it. America deserves better than to be chained to endless, overpriced projects that enrich insiders and drown the national treasury. The question is simple: how much longer will taxpayers tolerate this parade of failure before calling out the swamp for what it really is — a house of cards ready to collapse under the weight of its own greed?
