The end of the “catch and release” catastrophe is finally here, and it’s about time! For too long, former President Biden’s dangerous leniency allowed thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens to flood our borders with impunity. This ludicrous policy essentially invited lawbreakers to waltz into our nation, get handed a court date years down the road, and then disappear into the shadows. Was Biden really naïve enough to believe that illegals, given a golden ticket to roam free, would dutifully show up for their asylum hearings? The consequences of such soft-on-crime policies have been disastrous for our national security and sovereignty.
But fear not, because President Trump is once again restoring law and order. It’s a new day, folks. The Trump administration has taken a decisive stand, putting an end to this failed liberal experiment. The days of catch and release are over. Now, illegal migrants will be detained and processed rightfully within the borders they dared to violate. Finally, America’s law enforcement agencies have the backing and resources they desperately needed to execute this vital mission, thanks to a new policy initiative that doubles detention capabilities.

Critics can moan and groan all they want about the supposed harshness of the plan, but let’s face reality. The left’s screaming about human rights and sob stories only encourages more illegality. Conservatives know better. This new policy doesn’t just shut a loophole; it welds it shut, securing our borders against those who would exploit our legal system.
And, naturally, the usual suspects—pro-migrant organizations and left-wing advocacy groups—are throwing a fit. They whine about detentions and lack of bond, but where was their outrage when communities bore the brunt of unchecked migration and its associated crimes? Conservatives understand that a strong stance ensures that our laws are respected and that those who break them face immediate consequences.
The liberal elite needs to quit wallowing in their misguided virtue-signaling and start acknowledging the facts. Border security is national security. Keep America safe. Who could argue with that?
