The White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, firmly shut down a North Carolina radio host who had the audacity to ask whether President Joe Biden had dementia during a heated exchange on Tuesday. The radio host, Mark Garrison from WBT, dared to bring up the question, which Jean-Pierre found “offensive” and “insulting.” She pointed out that the president’s physician had provided a thorough report on Biden’s health, emphasizing that he is fully capable of fulfilling his duties as the commander-in-chief.

Jean-Pierre did not hold back in expressing her disbelief and disapproval of the question, stating, “I can’t even believe you’re asking me this question. That is an incredibly offensive question to ask.” She went on to defend the president’s health and his dedication to serving the American people, dismissing the notion that Biden may be experiencing any cognitive challenges. The press secretary made it clear that she would not entertain the premise of the question, deeming it “incredibly insulting.”
In addition to addressing the inquiry about the president’s mental acuity, Jean-Pierre also fielded questions about rising gas and grocery prices. When confronted with concerns about voters’ disposable income and the impact on the upcoming election, Jean-Pierre confidently defended the administration’s actions and policies. She attributed the surge in gas prices to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, highlighting Biden’s intervention as instrumental in mitigating the situation. Furthermore, she asserted that grocery prices, including essential items like eggs, milk, and seafood, have decreased as a result of the president’s initiatives.
After providing her responses, Jean-Pierre concluded the interview by gracefully bidding farewell to the radio host. The exchange left both Garrison and another host stunned, with the latter expressing bewilderment at the press secretary’s sensitivity to the questions posed.
