Biden’s DHS Lavishes Millions in Your Tax Dollars on Illegal Immigration NGOs!

The Biden administration continues to spend millions of taxpayer dollars on NGOs that aid border crossers and illegal aliens, according to public records. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently announced that over $12.2 million would be sent to NGOs such as Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army, United Way, and Lawyers for Good Government Foundation, among others, for their assistance in facilitating illegal immigration. The funds are also being allocated to cities like Albuquerque, Brownsville, and McAllen, in addition to various other locations across the country.
This taxpayer money is being funneled through Biden’s new Shelter and Services Program (SSP), which aims to support NGOs and sanctuary jurisdictions in their efforts to promote mass immigration. According to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the need for this support is ongoing, and lawmakers are being urged to provide an additional $600 million for the SSP in the FY23 budget supplemental.
These recent allocations add to the already staggering sum of approximately $800 million that the Biden administration has awarded to NGOs and sanctuary cities through the SSP grants. As we have seen in cities like New York and Chicago, illegal immigration places a heavy burden on American taxpayers. The cost of supporting the 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S. amounts to $163 billion annually, not including other social and economic costs such as housing prices, wages, jobs, crime rates, and strained public resources.
It is clear that the Biden administration’s open borders policies are not only endangering national security, but also hitting American taxpayers where it hurts the most – in their wallets. Our hard-earned money should be used to benefit American citizens, not to support illegal activity. It’s time for our lawmakers to stand up for border security and put an end to this wasteful spending.
