It seems like the House Oversight Committee’s hearing on “Influence Peddling: Examining Joe Biden’s Abuse of Public Office” turned into a big ol’ game of hide and seek, with Hunter Biden being the master hider. The guy was a total no-show, leaving his former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, to spill all the beans about the Biden family’s shenanigans. And to top it off, Chairman James Comer, not one to be bamboozled, decided to send yet another Biden family member an invitation, this time targeting President Joe Biden himself. With the way things are going, they might as well set up a Biden family reunion at the committee!

During the hearing, Comer didn’t hold back, pointing fingers at Bobulinski and Jason Galanis, Hunter’s other former business partner, for spilling the tea on the Biden family’s influence peddling schemes. He made it clear that it’s high time for Joe Biden to step up and sort out the mess, because let’s face it, the American people deserve to know just how deep the rabbit hole goes. Is Biden complicit or just plain clueless? Neither looks good on the resume for the leader of the United States, that’s for sure.
Now, the Democrats weren’t about to let the GOP hog all the spotlight. Ranking Member Jamie Raskin and Rep. Jared Moskowitz jumped in, suggesting that former President Donald Trump should be brought in to spill some secrets of his own. It’s like a political showdown – “you bring in Biden, we bring in Trump!” The drama is off the charts with these invitations flying left and right.
And as if things weren’t already wild enough, Rep. Jared Moskowitz decided to show up to the hearing sporting a Vladimir Putin mask. Talk about making an entrance! He accused the Republicans of playing dirty with Russian misinformation, all while donning the infamous Putin disguise, because nothing says “serious congressional hearing” like a masked appearance, right?
The White House didn’t miss a beat, firing back with some serious sass. Ian Sams, the White House counsel, took to Twitter to call out Comer’s invitation shenanigans, claiming that witnesses have said the POTUS did nothing wrong and that the records have debunked all the allegations. It’s like a Twitter feud brewing right there in the halls of Congress.
With all this political theater, it’s a wonder anyone gets any real work done in Washington! But hey, at least it gives us all some juicy drama to follow, right?
