Biden’s Reelection Dreams in Jeopardy as Key Demographic Support Plummets

Hold onto your cowboy hats, folks, because it looks like Joe Biden’s ride to reelection is hitting some major potholes. Despite a few cheery polls for the President, there are plenty of glaring warning signs that his desperate bid for a second term is faltering. The November election, shaping up to be a nail-biter between Biden and former President Donald Trump, isn’t looking so rosy for ol’ Joe, especially as his once-solid 2020 coalition starts to crumble.

Nobody can ignore the alarming drop in support from key demographics. Once a cornerstone of Democratic success, women are now showing signs of protest against Biden’s policies. Catherine Salgado from PJ Media highlighted that “Women’s Support for Democrats Hits a 20-Year Low with Biden,” based on data from The New York Times. Biden’s comfortable lead among women has evaporated, shrinking from 13 points in 2020 to a mere eight points now. Meanwhile, Trump still commands strong support among male voters, maintaining the edge he’s had since his 2016 campaign.

The numbers don’t lie. Biden’s lead has plummeted among Black and Hispanic women too, which spells trouble in battleground states. In some regions like Arizona and Michigan, his support among Black women has tanked from a colossal +86 in 2020 to a considerably less flattering +58. Similarly, Hispanic women’s support has nosedived from +40 to a measly +12. These aren’t just minor slips; these are seismic shifts.

Democrats might be banking on the abortion issue to galvanize their base, but that dog might not hunt. Sure, the KFF polls suggest abortion could be a rallying cry in places like Arizona, where a pro-abortion measure is on the ballot. But let’s be real—it’s not enough to buoy a sinking ship. In Arizona, Trump holds a solid +4.8 lead despite the abortion debates. Democrats might want to put their faith in abortion, but it could backfire as issues like inflation take a central role, benefiting Trump even more.

Furthermore, let’s not kid ourselves about Biden’s strategy. His campaign has been one long obsession with abortion, almost to a comical degree. Whether it’s the White House Press Secretary’s confused ramblings or Biden’s own pro-abortion speeches, the Democrats are clutching at straws. Even though polls show a slight preference for Biden on this single issue, it reeks of desperation. It’s as if Biden believes he can win women voters by focusing solely on reproductive rights, ignoring other pressing concerns that haunt American households.

Abortion might get the hardcore Democratic women to the polls, but don’t bet the house on it swaying average voters. Especially when it comes to swing states, the big movers are inflation and immigration—areas where Trump outshines Biden spectacularly. Who could forget Kellyanne Conway’s spot-on observation that Democrats speak to women from the waist down? Biden might win the abortion argument, but when it comes to wallets, Trump is the people’s champ. As the economy falters under Biden, more women are beginning to see through the façade and crave the stability they had under Trump.

All in all, the Biden campaign’s fixation on abortion is a risky gambit. With the economy tanking and support from key demographics dwindling, they’re grasping at a fading lifeline. November’s coming quickly, and these numbers signal choppy waters ahead for Biden and his crew.
