Well, folks, it seems like the Biden administration just can’t get their act together when it comes to national security. According to House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green and his Republican pals, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been keeping lawmakers in the dark about new threats they’ve identified. And where did Green and the gang hear about these threats? You guessed it, dear readers, the good old news reports!
So, what exactly are these threats? According to the intelligence bulletin issued by the San Diego Field Office Intelligence Unit of Customs and Border Protection, there are concerns that individuals tied to the Israel-Hamas conflict might try to sneak their way into the United States through our oh-so-porous Southwest border. Now, I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a pretty big deal to me.
But instead of giving lawmakers the heads up, the Biden administration decided to keep them out of the loop. Talk about transparency, am I right? Chairman Green, along with his buddies, Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence Subcommittee Chairman August Pfluger, and Border Security and Enforcement Subcommittee Chairman Clay Higgins, are demanding answers from DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. And let me tell you, they’re not messing around.

Green, Pfluger, and Higgins sent a letter to Secretary Mayorkas, where they expressed their concerns and requested more information about these national security threats. They’re not too happy that they had to find out about this through the news instead of directly from DHS. Can you blame them? I mean, if I were a lawmaker, I would want to be in the know too.
But you know what’s even more concerning, dear readers? The fact that the Biden administration’s open border policies are leaving our Southwest border wide open for potential terrorists to waltz right in. Yep, you heard that right. The same administration that claims to care about our safety is essentially rolling out the welcome mat for those who wish to do us harm.
While Green and his pals are working hard to get to the bottom of this mess, they’ve requested some important information from Secretary Mayorkas. They want all documents and communications related to these threats and a list of all the DHS employees involved. And they want it all by November 1st. Now that’s what I call holding the administration accountable!
So, while the Biden administration continues to fumble on national security, it’s good to know that there are Republicans out there fighting for our safety. Let’s hope they get the answers they’re looking for and put an end to this game of hide-and-seek with vital information. Our national security is at stake, folks, and it’s about time someone takes it seriously.
