CDC Nominee Sidesteps Key Issues: Is Susan Monarez the Bold Leader We Need?

In the latest round of political theater masquerading as a Senate hearing, Susan Monarez, President Trump’s choice to head the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, made her appearance. But rather than offering a resounding defense of American health priorities, she danced around key questions. Monarez announced her faith in vaccines and the importance of scientific rigour, which all seemed reassuring. Yet, where was the backbone? Where was the bold defense of necessary budget cuts and program eliminations? Instead, she tiptoed, careful not to step on any toes.

There’s an elephant in the room named Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a so-called health leader with actions often skewing far from common sense. His oversights have led to programs that burden hardworking taxpayers. Yet Monarez, when prompted, hesitated to take a stand on any of his questionable decisions. It’s baffling that she would sidestep addressing the stark reality that some of these programs are nothing more than bureaucratic bloat not serving the American people.

One has to question the priorities here. Why are these government ‘leaders’ more interested in placating the demands of the globalist agenda rather than fortifying our nation’s health from the ground up? It seems that trimming the fat from an overly bloated government is a path Monarez is reluctant to tread. When faced with the opportunity to highlight which programs are ineffective or unnecessary, her silence spoke volumes.

Here’s the truth they don’t want you to hear: American families are footing the bill for inefficient health initiatives that fail to deliver protection or progress. Instead of being stewards of our health, these so-called leaders often act as gatekeepers for outdated practices. The conservative movement demands a CDC that acts in America’s best interest, cutting ties with flawed programs and focusing on effective health solutions.

The question looms large: Is Susan Monarez the warrior we need in this battle for our health priorities? The American people deserve a CDC leader who doesn’t just value public health interventions but also possesses the courage to draw the line and say, “Enough is enough!” Are we truly being better served, or just served another plate of excuses?
