Chaos Unleashed: Assad’s Exit Sparks Extremist Rule and Untamed Threats

Bashar al-Assad’s fall from power in Syria was supposed to be a new dawn for a beleaguered nation. But here we are, a year later, and the situation is more disastrous than ever. The likes of President Biden hailed Assad’s departure as an act of justice—a historic opportunity, they said. Yet, what has replaced Assad? A chaotic and extremist-led regime that has not only endangered Syria but also posed new threats to Israel and U.S. interests. Liberals screamed for Assad’s head, and now they’re silent as radical groups bar Christians from celebrating their faith by torching Christmas trees. Where’s the outcry from the world champions of human rights?

President Trump, a catalog of bold decision-making, rightly warned against deeper U.S. involvement in Syria’s tangled web. He understood the Afghan quagmire and doesn’t want another foreign adventure. So, what does Biden do? Stand by as U.S. soldiers get ambushed and killed, just days after Assad’s anniversary of fleeing. Meanwhile, the new Syrian regime holds parades with chants that advocate for the destruction of Israel and glorify jihadist violence. As a result, troops were ambushed. Do they need more American blood on their hands to see the peril of taking a neutral stance?

Let’s speak truth to power. The new Syrian commanders are filled with ISIS alumni and jihadists. Yet, the House Democrats decided it was time to remove crucial sanctions put in place during Assad’s reign of terror. A slap on the wrist for a regime using its newfound power to help terrorists? The left talks peace but turns a blind eye to a parade of Islamic extremism marching through Syrian streets.

Trump has promised severe retaliation against Syria for the attack on U.S. personnel. And why shouldn’t he? His administration’s foreign policy is crystal clear: peace through superior strength. Enemies need to understand there’s a steep price for attacking Americans. Meanwhile, bureaucrats in D.C. toy with the idea of a softer approach, forgetting that weakness invites aggression.

Let’s be real about protecting American interests here. Should our troops be in Syria? Maybe not. But ask yourself: Who pushes for involvement and then fails to see it through with backing our troops? In Syria’s case, the liberal leadership certainly hasn’t shown competence. While Biden and his pals prioritize their distorted version of justice, ISIS heads back into the global spotlight. What will it take for D.C. to wake up? More parades of extremism on our watch, or a strong conservative leadership that doesn’t shy away from calling out cozying up to chaos?
