Another innocent American woman has become a victim of Chicago’s failed justice system. A repeat offender with 13 mugshots dating back to 2012 brutally attacked a Lake Villa woman in downtown Chicago. The savage punch broke multiple bones in her face and left her with a concussion.
The attacker is 32-year-old William Livingston, a career criminal who should have been locked up long ago. His rap sheet shows years of attacking women and police officers across Chicago. This monster has been terrorizing innocent people for over a decade while liberal prosecutors let him walk free.
The victim’s story gets even worse when you learn the facts. In 2017, Livingston was accused of randomly attacking two different women just months apart. Both cases were mysteriously dropped by prosecutors who care more about criminals than victims.
Livingston’s crime spree continued unchecked until 2022 when he punched and robbed four women in just 20 minutes in the Loop. Finally, he got a five-year prison sentence that should have kept Chicago streets safe. But our broken system had other plans.
This dangerous predator was released on July 26, 2023, after serving barely over a year of his five-year sentence. Illinois officials gave him credit for jail time, pre-trial programs, and other liberal early release schemes. The system practically rolled out the red carpet for his return to crime.
Now another woman pays the price for these reckless policies with broken bones and trauma. She demands federal intervention to stop Chicago’s escalating violence, and she is absolutely right. Local officials have completely failed to protect law-abiding citizens.
This is what happens when Democrats prioritize criminals over victims time after time. Chicago has become a playground for repeat offenders while honest Americans live in fear. The revolving door of justice must stop before more innocent people get hurt.
Real Americans deserve leaders who will lock up dangerous criminals and throw away the key. Until we elect prosecutors and judges who believe in law and order, these attacks will keep happening. The choice is clear: protect criminals or protect victims.
